Steve is a Registered Geologist and Director of Southwest Groundwater Consultants. He is the Principal Hydrogeologist for the company’s four offices. He is also currently serving as Geologist on the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration. Steve has extensive experience evaluating the quantity and quality of groundwater resources and managing well installation projects. He has performed many hydrogeologic investigations throughout Arizona and the southwest involving: permitting (Aquifer Protection Permits (APP), Underground Storage Facility (USF) projects, Physical Availability Demonstrations (PAD), and Analyses, Designations, and Certificates of Assured Water Supply (AAWS, DAWS, and CAWS); site-specific geologic interpretation; exploratory, monitor, and production well design and installation management; aquifer testing and analysis; design of water quality monitoring programs; recharge and recovery projects, and water rights evaluations.
Steve is well versed in working with the 1980 Arizona Groundwater Code, USF permitting requirements, and the technical and administrative requirements of ADEQ’s Aquifer Protection Permit program. He has represented clients before the Arizona Department of Water Resources, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
